Unexpected Things at Your New Military Base House
Military life takes us all over the country, brings so many adventures, but there was one adventure I was seriously never expecting; BUGS. I didn’t come from any area of bugs so when we moved to Fort Campbell,KY and all over the neighborhood Facebook page I’m seeing “Do I need to save the tick I pulled out of my daughter” or “Your kid probably isn’t allergic to mosquitoes, they are just giant here compared to other places” my eyes got real big and I honestly had a hard time letting my kids go outside to play.
This post is my attempt to save you from the high anxiety summers because let’s face it, the military didn’t always pick the most desirable or livable places for their bases. Army especially. Most of the moves you’ll make are to middle of no-where places and while you 100% can make an adventure out of each and every assignment, bugs are yuck. BUT never fear, I have a simple, and beautiful solution to the little creepy crawlies: Essential Oil Diffuser Bracelets

Now, whether you are on the essential oil train or not, hear me out.

- When something works, it works. Don’t dismiss a solution just because you don’t think oils will cure the world like your neighbor Karen does 🙂
I’ll be honest, I’ve used essential oils for a few things before, and most of them have worked out really well. A few fell short of expectations. These bracelets though have 100% fulfilled my expectations.

Multiple people in my neighborhood suggested using Tea Tree oil and Eucalyptus so that’s what we’ve been using and it has been working to keep ticks away!
THIRD, put drops of the oils on the lava rock or wooden beads in the bracelets, give them little rub, slip them on your or your kid’s wrists or ankles and VIOLA! Ticks and mosquitos (depending on what oils you use) are no more!! Told ya it was easy 🙂
